In this video I take you on a brief look inside Zannier Phum Baitang, a truly unique 5 star resort on the outskirts of Siem Reap. The decor is rustic but elegant. The name Phum Baitang, meaning “green village,” reflects the green landscape of rice paddies dotted with stilted villas.
There are 45 private wooden villas inspired by traditional stilted farmhouses.
Temple Spa has architectural features taken from Angkor Wat, like the stone window pillars and the detailed wall carvings. There is a gym, 7 treatment rooms and sauna.
There are 2 restaurants on property. Hang Bay, the Cambodian fine dining restaurant and the more casual Bay Phsar or Rice Market restaurant. It serves Cambodian and international cuisine with some ingredients locally sourced from the property. Just a few steps down is the Pool Bar. It’s a nice option when you just want a small bite after a swim.
The Sunset Lounge near the resort lobby is another place to enjoy stunning sunsets. It is at the 100 year old Cambodian farmhouse repurposed into a cocktail and cigar lounge.
Overall Phum Baitang is the ideal base for peace and privacy when visiting Angkor Archaeological park.
