My Accommodations When Staying in American Samoa

I stayed at two places during my week in American Samoa. The first was a hotel called Sadie's by the Sea. Very nice but a standard hotel. The second was at Tisa's Barefoot Bar in a fale. Fale is the Samoan word for house but it has come to also mean thatched roof, often open walled structures, many near the beach. You'll see from the video my fale was not fully enclosed, had a bed with mosquito netting, one small light but was right on the water. In fact at high tide the water actually came under the fale. It rained a fair bit but it didn't interrupt my enjoyment of the island. Tisa and her husband Candyman were gracious hosts and I appreciated their hospitality.
