A look around the Melia Dunas Resort on Sal, in the Cape Verde islands, where we stayed in April 2017 - see my video of the island at https://youtu.be/L9niSryAzSM

The all-inclusive resort itself is split into two - Melia Dunas and Sol Dunas - with a lot of the facilities shared between guests. Each side had its own restaurants, with most on the Melia side along with the beach, while Sol had the kids' club, waterpark, playground and most of the pools.

We were upgraded from our booked two-bedroom family apartment to a five-bed beach-side villa with its own mini plunge pool - worth booking direct and joining the rewards scheme to be in with a chance, I think. However, from the images on the website, the decor etc looks similar.

The site is big but laid out so that even with kids, it's walkable from end to end, and there are little buggies if you need assistance or have your luggage. This gives you a taste of some of the many restaurants, the multiple different pools, the beach and the facilities - for obvious reasons, I couldn't film in the kids' club or kids' playground, but they're also on site.
