STORYLINE:
Israeli airstrikes targeted Gaza City on Wednesday, striking in close proximity to a hotel commonly occupied by international aid organizations and media.

The strikes forced many to take refuge inside the building.

Israel hammered neighborhood after neighborhood on Wednesday in the tiny coastal enclave in retaliation for the deadly mass incursion by Hamas militants.

The country has vowed an unprecedented offensive against the Islamic militant group ruling Gaza after its fighters broke through the border fence and stormed into the country’s south, gunning down hundreds of Israelis in their homes, on the streets and at an outdoor music festival.

They dragged an estimated 150 people – soldiers, men, women, children and the elderly – into captivity in Gaza.

As Palestinians crowded into U.N. schools and a shrinking number of safe neighborhoods, humanitarian groups pleaded for the creation of corridors to get aid into Gaza, warning that hospitals overwhelmed with wounded people were running out of supplies.

Israel has stopped entry of food, fuel and medicine into Gaza, and the sole remaining access from Egypt was shut down Tuesday after airstrikes hit near the border crossing.

The war, which has already claimed at least 2,100 lives on both sides, is expected to escalate.

STORYLINE:

Young Israelis opposed to the Gaza withdrawal gathered at Sderot on Thursday to show solidarity with the evicted settlers from the settlement of Neve Dekalim.

They carried placards and sung songs, crowding round each settler''s car to offer comfort and support to the despondent families.

The former Neve Dekalim settlers were all headed for the Ashkelon Army Rest and Recreation Centre which overlooks a beach on to the Mediterranean Sea.

There to meet them were government officials and more volunteers who handed out cake and support.

The Neve Dekalim residents were due to stay in the temporary accommodation until the SELA (Government organisation in charge of evicted settlers'' social welfare) could provide them with houses.

Some were extremely unhappy with the Ashkelon Rest home.

Sigal Sofer, the 67th family settler to arrive, complained bitterly about her eviction.

We took an impromptu trip to the Bahamas in December of 2023. This was before the travel advisory that was released warning tourists from traveling there. We felt very safe, in fact you really never have to leave the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar if you don't want to! They have all of the restaurants, bars, pools, beach, activities that you would ever want all in one place. It is one of the most expensive resorts that we have been to however! I would say the food quality is just average AND you are paying astronomical prices for them. I was impressed that the waterpark was included as part of the $65 a day resort fee. You could still enjoy this resort and find more budget friendly options for food and drink. #nassaubahamas #bahamas #travelvlog

The Hotel was 99.9% accessible for me in my wheelchair which was amazing. The swimming pools had very shallow steps with handrails when entering the water and even had chair lifts to lower people into the pool if required. It would be perfect if there were some boards on the sand down to the sea for disabled / wheelchairs / strollers etc ♿ We had an adapted room which was perfect for our requirements.. thank you RIU !

By far the biggest and most popular of the Balearic Isles, Majorca is one of the top holiday destinations in Spain. The spacious rooms, with ironing boards and USB outlets, have spectacular city views and are over a lively mall, making dining and entertainment just steps away.

Further down, we meet the Levande network, a rising hotel brand in China. Many of these hotels are near Lihe Plaza and provide clean, smoke-free rooms with electric curtains. Strategic office building placement gives an urban impression at an unbeatable price, while carpet-free stays keep odors at bay.

The Dasin Hotel, part of a retail, office, and housing complex, is another intriguing alternative. Dasin's in-house administration provides a smooth experience with access to the complex's many shops and restaurants. The brand's quality and affordability are reflected in the modest, well-maintained rooms.

Hilton Garden Inn offers Western standards and local rates. Despite being less luxurious than its four- and five-star rivals, it provides a cozy home for business travelers with ironing boards and a separate work area. Personalized details like bench seating by the window and gentle lighting create a homey ambiance.

Hampton by Hilton's use of technology and innovation is notable in cheap hotels. The rooms at this hotel have magnetic walls, making the stay more participatory and modern. Although newer and more expensive than earlier hotels, the Hampton provides a new take on budget-friendly accommodations without sacrificing comfort or convenience.
