Hotel Villa Antigua is situated in a 150-year-old mansion and offers luxury of modern times. A hotel that perfectly fits my way of travel and Ill share with you my experience.

Hotel en Trinidad - Beni - Bolivia

Due to the to the limited availability of traditional construction materials in the remote and barren salt flat landscape of Uyuni, this hotel was primarily built with salt, back in the early 90s, and still stands to this day.

However, its location in the center of a desert caused sanitation problems, as most waste had to be collected manually. Mismanagement caused serious environmental pollution and the hotel has since stopped accepting guests for overnight stays. Join me in my exploration of it!

I visited Bolivia before a business trip to Sao Paulo so I finally could admire the Salar de Uyuni. Uyuni town is a town which doesn’t offer much and is still far from the salar and that’s why I searched a salt hotel just next to the Salar de Uyuni.
