OBSCURIST TOURIST 119 - Come along with me as I explore one of the best hotels in Croatia - Hotel Lone, located in Rovinj. Hotel Lone is one of a few 5-star hotels located in the heart of Istria on the coast of Croatia just north of Pula. We spent nearly a month in Europe, traveling to 3 different countries.
And we stayed at 10 different locations during our trip.
This is a video of the places we stayed.

For Venice, my wife arranged for a hotel — close enough, that we could roll our suitcases to the hotel. On the way out of the train station, we were confronted with 12 steps to get out of the station. When we returned the next day for our departure, I found there was a handicapped entrance to the right of the station. A slow uphill roll, that entered the station with no steps (somewhere near the “Five Guys” restaurant location, inside the train station).

A point of confusion once we got to the Zurich airport — there is a “Radisson Blu” and a regular Radisson, which was our reservation. Initially we were following the “Radisson Blu” signs. But a person at an information desk, clarified there is a difference.
Radisson Blu at the Zurich airport — is reported to be a 250 meter walk from the airport terminal.
The regular Radisson airport hotel, is more like 5 km away, about a 10 minute drive, and you need a shuttle van to drive you there.

Some of the most stunning beaches on the Sibenik Riviera are located around the Amadria Park holiday resort, just a few kilometres south of Sibenik, Croatia. While these beaches are part of the Amadria Park complex, they are open to everyone, not just hotel guests.
The largest and one of the most beautiful is White Beach. A spectacular mix of pebble and sand creates a mesmerizing panorama with the turquoise blue sea, guaranteeing a perfect holiday vibe. Deluxe Room with a sea view and balcony on the 7th floor. The hotel and staff were amazing throughout our stay. The location of the hotel, though not in the main capital, is incredible. Cavtat has a beautiful Lake Como/Italy vibe, and I highly recommend this quieter area over staying near the busy capital of Dubrovnik. There are convenient links to the main city via a 40-minute ferry ride.

After reading some mixed reviews on TripAdvisor, I couldn't understand why anyone would have anything negative to say. The hotel is lovely, and the staff are incredible. All the hotel features, including the pools, spa, and beach area, are well-maintained and clean. While some people complained about the view, I suggest opting for a Deluxe Room with a sea view starting from the 6th level. Paying extra for this upgrade will enhance your overall experience.

We had the half board package, and both breakfast and dinner were excellent. The dinner menu changed every night, offering a variety of options of great quality. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again without question. The highlight of our stay was the hotel's location, the staff, and the hotel itself.
